Dr. Main Alqudah

Chair, Ethical & Principles-Based Investment – Healthcare Infrastructure

Dr. Main Alqudah is an Associate Professor of Islamic Studies and Finance with more than eighteen years of experience in Islamic economics, Sharia-compliant finance, and institutional governance. He holds a PhD in Islamic Studies from Al-Azhar University and American Open University, an MA in Islamic Economics from Al-Yarmook University, and a BA in Economics from Al-Azhar University.

Dr. Alqudah’s academic and professional work centers on Islamic financial systems, contract analysis, arbitration, and cross-jurisdictional Sharia compliance. He has published extensively on topics including Zakah policy, Islamic arbitration, student financing in the United States, women’s participation in political work, and financial regulation within Islamic legal frameworks.

He is a founding member and President of Guidance College in Houston, where he oversees institutional development, academic design, and curriculum strategy across Islamic Studies and Finance programs. He has also served as a member of the Resident Fatwa Committee of the Assembly of Muslim Jurists in America (AMJA), contributing research and legal opinions on contemporary financial and social issues.

Dr. Alqudah has lectured nationally and internationally on Islamic finance, interest-bearing transactions, governance standards, and the economic dimensions of Muslim family law. His work bridges traditional Islamic jurisprudence with modern financial systems, contributing to informed institutional and scholarly dialogue.
